Preventing Lesson Horse Burnout

with Lisa Lombardi

Successful lesson programs rely heavily on a “happy” herd. This powerpoint presentation stimulates Riding Instructors, Program Directors, Barn Managers, and Trainers to think about how to increase the longevity of our lesson horses to do their job. Although they do not talk with words, they do in other ways, and keeping the equine partnership positive makes for a pleasant, active relationship for years to come.

Running time: 30 minutes

Lisa Lombardi has an extensive equine background as a competitor, riding instructor, camp wrangler, educator, and author. She is a CHA certified Master Clinician, CHA certified Site Visitor, PATH certified, CIEP-ED certified, and Jr College Equine Science Professor. She presently teaches clients on their own horses, gives lessons on her school horses, and teaches an after school and summer camp program. Lisa's experience with a variety of horse disciplines has given her the motivation to make those special partners of ours, the horses, want to come and play with us each day.
