Training Through Problems with Lesson Horses

Training is about either sensitizing or desensitizing a horse at the proper moment through consistent conversation with the horse. This session takes a look into training issues with lesson horses and how riding with a sense of purpose can improve their performance for the job they do.

Jesse Westfall’s passion for horses is definitely a result of his passion for life. He is constantly refining his skills and striving to be the best possible horseman that he can be. Jesse has accumulated multiple NRHA and AQHA year end awards, has been a two-time reserve champion at All American Quarter Horse Congress, and serves as an NRHA judge all over the US and Canada. He has spent many years gleaning knowledge from many well known trainers and never tires of learning more from others. He and his wife Stacy serve as Expert Trainers for Service Mounts at Asbury University in KY.
As equine educators, the Westfalls teach clinics and share their knowledge through books and digital media. Jesse believes in standing strong, unwavering in his beliefs and convictions.
